An original poster promoting the 1975 Edinburgh International Festival, designed by Hans Schleger and published by British Railways. Born in Germany, Schleger moved to London in the 1930s where he quickly established a reputation as a pioneer and innovator of unified industrial design. In 1953 he helped set up the design studio Hans Schleger and Associates where he worked until his death. His commissions included work for British Petroleum Ltd, British Rail, the Edinburgh Festival, London Transport, and Shell-Mex. A higher resolution image is available for viewing on request.
