Original mid-1930s advertising poster for the Surrey Room and Chatham Room restaurants at Victoria and Waterloo railway stations. The design, by the commercial artist DW Burley, features a repeated Art-Deco inspired cup and glass motif against a banner device with contemporary lettering. Rather lovely, and rare. Victoria and Waterloo stations were operated by the Southern Railway at the time, with some refreshment room services leased to the Fredrick Hotels Group.
