An original, and rare, Beatles poster designed by the British painter and graphic artist Paul Whitehead, 1968. The design was originally commissioned by The Beatles/Apple Records as the potential gatefold cover artwork for the then untitled White Album. It was eventually rejected in favour of a plain white sleeve designed by Richard Hamilton. Whitehead went on to design surrealist album covers for several UK artists in the 1970s, including Genesis and Van der Graaf Generator. A higher resolution image is available for viewing on request.
