The image depicts a group of holiday makers on a cliff overlooking a sandy beach, with two young women to their right descending steps and carrying surf boards. Alker Tripp was a successful fine artist and poster designer, having previously served as an Assistant Commissioner of the London Metropolitan Police from 1932 to 1947.
