A outstanding original London Transport poster promoting daytrips to Epping Forest, featuring a painting by Robert Flavell Micklewright. As well as designing posters for a range of leading commercial clients and stamps for the Royal Mail, Mickelwright was a well-known water-colourist and landscape artist. This poster has an overprint stating that the poster is a 'reproduction', which was done at the time to enable LT to sell surplus copies via their shop on the Marylebone Road. The poster is, however, an original, from the initial print run. A higher resolution image is available for viewing on request.
