A poignant poster for an exhibition at Swindon Works, 18 March 1960, to mark the last steam locomotive to be built by British Railways. The poster, by the progressive Studio Seven, features an illustration of George Stephenson’s Rocket (1829) at the top and the BR standard class locomotive Evening Star (1960) at the base. Both locomotives have survived into preservation.
