Tay Bridge, See Scotland by Train
Terence Cuneo (1907 - 1996)Original travel poster designed by Terence Cuneo for British Railways (Scottish Region) in 1957. The poster shows a modern diesel hauled passenger train about to pass a steam locomotive on the famous Tay Bridge, with Dundee in the distance. The preliminary sketches for the painting were made by the artist in-situ, with winds of up to 40 mph crashing through the girders as he sketched the scene. A magnificent poster that has undergone considerable restoration after being discovered ripped and damaged in 2022. A higher resolution image is available to view on request.
