A striking original London Underground poster by the greatest poster designer working in England at the time, Edward McKnight Kauffer. The India Museum was established in 1801 in Leadenhall Street. The collection was later moved to South Kensington where, ultimately, it became part of the V&A’s ‘Indian Section’, although it retained its popular name of India Museum until 1945.
