T. Elliott and Sons was a traditional firm of shoemakers that became enormously successful in the second half of the 1960s by adapting to the new, youth-centered, market for women’s shoes and boots. This poster, by Bob Wright & L.R Clynick promotes the company’s Suffragette shoes (‘First of the New Enlightenment’. The style is reminiscent of Klaus Voorman’s cover artwork for the Beatles Revolver album (1966). More information about Elliott’s innovative fashion publicity can be found here.
