An important, and uncommon, complete set of Think Metric posters designed by Crosby / Fletcher / Forbes, based on an idea by David Collins, c.1969. The set was commissioned to help prepare for the introduction of the metric system of measurement to the UK in 1970. It consists of an introductory poster and six ‘sheets’ exploring changes to everyday terminology: The Rule of Thumb, Common Objects, Indoor Environment, Outdoor Environment, Walking Distances, and Driving Distances. The Crosby/Fletcher/Forbes was a design partnership formed in 1965 between Theo Crosby (1925-1994), Alan Fletcher (1931-2006) and Colin Forbes (b.1928). The design partnership evolved into Pentagram in 1972. An outstanding group of posters in excellent, rolled, condition.
