An original London Transport poster promoting summer daytrips, designed by Victoria Davidson and published in 1960. The original artwork for this poster, which is in the collection of London Transport Museum, is a three-dimensional work in applique which was reproduced for the poster by photolithography. Davidson trained as a fashion designer but worked primarily as an illustrator and poster artist. Her main clients included London Transport, Nestle, Kellogg’s and Guinness, while her cartoons regularly appeared in Lilliput magazine. A higher resolution image is available for viewing on request.
