Original British Railways poster, Isle of Wight for Sunny Days, by ‘Shep’ (Charles Shepherd) c. 1950. The design features an unusual depiction of the Isle of Wight at the top of the poster, with the British mainland below (rather than the other way around). An arresting image, with incorporates a decorative compass to show the true direction of north! The map also includes ferry routes from England to Ryde, Fishbourne, Cowes and Yarmouth, with information about connecting trains printed in the lower half.
