The Sheffield-born landscape artist Kenneth Steel is best remembered today for his popular railway posters and carriage prints. This example, of a scene in the Western Highlands near the village of Ballachulish, is typical of his work. The branch line to Ballachulish and Loch Levan closed in the 1960s.
