AnonAn extremely rare, and significant, early film poster, The Thief of Bagdad, Theatre Royal, Drury Lane Theatre, London, 1924. Now regarded as a classic of the Silent Film era, The Thief of Bagdad started Douglas Fairbanks and was directed by Raoul Walsh.
The film received its UK premiere at the Theatre Royal on 24 September 1924.
An extraordinary survivor, preserved by a set maker who worked at the Theatre during the 1930s and 40s.
A single copy is known to survive in the collection of the Victoria and Albert Museum. We have been unable to locate any additional copies.
