An original Guinness Lithograph, Sailing at Cork by Rosamund Steed, printed by the Curwen Studio and published in 1962. The Guinness Lithographs were commissioned in two series by Guinness in the 1950s and 1960s to publicise the newly launched Guinness Book of Records. The prints were made to be framed or pinned up on the walls of pubs and illustrate world records of the day. All were commissioned from popular, contemporary artists, in a project initially led by the artist printmaker Barnett Freedman. This one, by the Suffolk-based artist Rosamund Steed/Moss Fuller (1937-2021), illustrates sailing at Cork, Ireland. A higher resolution image is available for viewing on request.
