An original London Transport poster, Days on the Water, by Sandra Fisher, 1989. Commissioned as part of the ‘Art on the Underground’ programme, Fisher’s languid depiction of a young couple boating at Regent’s Park was one London Underground’s most popular posters of the time, even appearing on the front cover of Reader's Digest magazine. Born in New York, Fisher was a prolific painter known for her joyous and optimistic representations of everyday life. She was married to fellow American artist, R.B. Kitaj. This is the rarer, smaller-sized, version of the poster, as used on escalators. A higher resolution image is available to view on request.
