Charles Herrick was a leading graphic artist in the decades following the First World War. He taught at Brighton, the Royal College of Art and the Sir John Cass Institute. His many commercial clients included London Underground/London Transport, Empire Marketing Board, LNER and several shipping lines. The colourisation and dramatic cloud formation of this design is typical of his early work. Rare.
