Original poster, 100th Anniversary of the Automobile, designed by British graphic designer Alan Fletcher (of Pentagram) for Daimler-Benz and the German magazine Auto Motor und Sport, 1986. The poster was produced for Daimler-Benz and the prominent German automotive magazine to host an international poster competition celebrating 100 years of the motor car. Fletcher's submission was the joint winner and became the foundational symbol for the centenary celebrations

The poster was later reissued in 1994 as part of collection entitled The 100 best posters from Europe and the United States. 1945-1990. However, this one is an original, first printing, from 1986.
