A vintage reissued theatre poster, A Comedy of Sighs!, originally designed for the Avenue Theatre, London, in 1895, published by Athena in about 1967. Throughout the late 1960s several of Beardsley’s provocative and occasionally ‘trippy’ drawings from the 1890s were reprinted for the counterculture generation. A high-quality reissue of a famous nineteenth century poster, which appears to have been pinned up at the time (which is only as it should be).
