Enamel Caution Sign (railway)
Anon
An original enamel railway sign which, quite frankly, has got us stumped. It warns passengers against standing on the carriage running boards, leaning out of windows or attempting to join or quit the train in motion. Doesn’t appear to be British, and presumably comes from an English-speaking part of the former Empire/Commonwealth. Possibly pre-war or later 40s/early 50s.
