A glorious, original, railway travel poster, For Brighter Holidays go SOUTH for Sunshine by Southern Railway, 1933. The design features a most unusual representation of the south coast turned 90 degrees and displaying all the seaside towns reached by the Southern, starting with Sheerness and Herne Bay in Kent through to Padstow and Newquay in Cornwall. The whole scene, including the islands of Guernsey and Jersey, is brightly illuminated by a stylised sun beaming from ‘O’ in SOUTH.

A rare poster which we have not seen before. A higher resolution image is available for viewing on request.
