The design features a pictorial map of France, showing the main wine production areas (Champagne, Alsace, Val de Loire Bourgogne, Cognac, Bordeaux, Armagnac, Cotes du Rhone, Languedoc, Roussillon, Cotes de Provence and Corsica), linked together by dancing wine growers and sellers. At the top, the French Cockerel presides over the dance, its body and tail feathers formed from a wine glass and vine leaf.
