London Underground Tube Map, 1976
Paul E GarbuttSuperb, original, station poster map version of the famous London Underground Tube diagram, 1976. First published in the 1930s to a design by Harry Beck, the now iconic Tube map was developed by Paul Garbutt in the 1960s and 70s to include recent modifications. This elegant edition retains the clarity and beauty of Beck’s original design, which has been lost in recent years with the inclusion of much additional information. The map shows the Piccadilly extension to Heathrow as 'opening late 1977' and the first stage of the "Fleet" Line (later renamed the ‘Jubilee Line’) from Baker Street to Trafalgar Square as 'under construction'.
