An original, and rare, travel poster, Polar Route by Jet To Edmonton and Vancouver, designed by André Amstutz for Canadian Pacific Airlines, c. 1961. The design feature a charming illustration of an Inuit figure directing air traffic, with a diminutive, sleek, jet plane depicted in the background. Overall, an excellent example of poster composition, which admirably combines text and image.

Amstutz was a well-known British illustrator and graphic designer, who also created posters for Shell, the Post Office and British European Airways (among other clients).
