Original screen-printed political/protest poster Rompe La Dependencia (Break the Dependency) Prepara La Rebelion (Prepare the Rebellion), designed by New York activist artists Cody, Cass & Carol, c. 1981. The image depicts a machete slashing though syringes – a metaphor for the downtrodden to break free from drug dependency and prepare, instead, for revolutionary action.

This example comes from the personal collection of Viv Albertine, guitarist with The Slits, and comes with a signed certificate of authentication. Albertine lived with Cody for a few months in New York, and this poster was given to the guitarist by the artist.
