The message refers to the political and military collaboration of minority-ruled regimes in Southern Africa. The design includes images of António de Oliveira Salazar (dictator of Portugal, which maintained colonial rule in Angola and Mozambique), Ian Smith (Prime Minister of Rhodesia) and John Vorster (Prime Minister of South Africa).
