An original, and very rare, David Hockney poster, Tate Gallery Centenary 1897 to 1997. Tate Gallery by Bus or Tube, London Transport, 1997. Smaller sized versions of this poster (30 x 20 inches) were originally available to buy at the time from London Transport Museum and the Tate Gallery. However, this large format (Double Royal size) poster was only made for display on London Underground. Original copies, like this one, are among the rarest Hockney posters.

The original painting, Celebration, was commissioned by the Tate to commemorate the gallery’s 100^th anniversary in 1997.
