This is the larger sized ‘poster’ version, used in training sessions to familiarise military personnel with silhouettes of Allied and Axis aircraft. Published by the Ministry of Aircraft Production in 1945.

The Sunderland was a flying boat patrol bomber, developed and built by Short Brothers for the Royal Air Force (RAF). The aircraft took its service name from the town and port of Sunderland in North East England.
