An original poster designed by Tom Eckersley advertising an exhibition of André Kertész’s work held at the Georges Pompidou Centre [Paris] and Graves Art Gallery [Sheffield. The design features a photograph of Kertesz's shadow in profile next to a lamp. Widely regarded as one of Britain’s greatest graphic designers, Eckersley designed posters for a huge range of clients, including Austin Reed, General Post Office, Gillette, British Petroleum, Ministry of Information, London Transport, Inner London Education Authority, Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) and World Wide Fund for Nature. He was also Head of Graphic Design at the London College of Printing from 1957 until 1977.
